About me
It all began in Oakland, California in January of 1970. My childhood flew by growing up in
the East Bay city of Martinez. After attending De La Salle High School in Concord, I went on
to Diablo Valley College for a couple of years. The big question at this point in my life
was...What was I to do for the rest of my life? I didn't have an answer so I headed off to
Europe to race bicycles. After several of racing at the elite amateur level, I realized that it
was going to be very difficult to make a living racing bicycles. So back to school I went. In
1999, I obtained my B.S. in Food Science, minoring in chemistry from San Jose State
University. I love food so a career in the food industry seemed to be a good fit at the time. I
spent most of my eight year career in the food industry working as a Quality Manager at
San Jose Kellogg's facility, the home of the Eggo waffle. L'Eggo my Eggo! While at
Kellogg's I started and completed a Masters in Business Administration from Saint Mary's
College in Moraga, California.
Looking for a change, I passed the California state real estate exam in mid-2005 and
received my real estate license. Shorterly thereafter, I decided to leave Kellogg's after six
plus years working in management at their San Jose plant. While I enjoyed working at
Kellogg's, I was ready to move on and take on a career that I was truly passionate about. I
have been interested in real estate ever since my wife Vicky and I bought our first home in
Pleasanton in late 2000. Following prices, interest rates, and new home developments
have always intrigued me. Counseling friends and family on real estate and finance
matters over the last few years provided me with even further direction when choosing my
next career path. The skill set necessary to excel in real estate was supplemented in
2004 by obtaining a MBA.
About my Business
For brokerages, in early 2008 I aligned myself with a local boutique brokerage, iStar Real
Estate and on the mortgage side of things, Pro Capital Mortgage, located in Pleasanton,
CA. My goals are centered on helping people by offering financial planning services in
conjunction with sound real estate and loan advice, all with a skill-set a step above other
Realtors. Hence...when it comes to the services I provide, I'm "Your Realtor® and
More".
In this very competitive real estate market there are lots of options when it comes to
choosing a Realtor or Loan Advisor. It makes sense, doesn't it, to have a clear picture of
why you would turn to me for assistance with a real estate matter or you would refer a
friend to me. One good example is my thorough approach to financial matters.
Regardless of what aspect of real estate you are delving into, it’s important to have a clear
understanding of the financial implications. Knowledge is power and the right financial
knowledge that I, complimented by my relationship with the best lenders, real estate
attorneys, and accountants, provide will allow you to make the best “informed” decision
possible when buying or selling property. The right financial know-how along with a highly
customized level of service are just two reasons of many for why I am the right person to
turn to when it comes to handling a real estate matter.
About my Love for Cycling
Back in 1987, I got bit by the bug. A close friend of
mine introduced me to road cycling and I was hooked.
From 1988 to 1994, I developed as a racer, spending
two seasons in Belgium before going back to school
in the fall of 1994. Now, I race at the Masters level
and give back to cycling by sponsoring local clubs.
The five clubs I'm sponsoring in 2010:
Total Monies Donated: $15,350
Last donation made on 2/17/2010
That's me (in the yellow helmet & blue racing kit) racing
at Binche, Belgium back in 1992. The race at Binche
was an amateur semi-classic contested by a field of
123 riders. I finished in a respectable 30th place.
At a EMC2/Vellum Cycles Masters Team meeting in
2006, I was fortunate enough to pass on a donation
check. As my business grows I look forward to
passing on more of my earnings to local cycling
clubs. Helping grass roots cycling programs is
something that I have a passion for!
